First Trimester Ultrasound Symposium dates - Saturday 13th April & Sunday 14th April 2013

The faculty welcomes Professor Waldo Sepulveda from Santiago Chile, a leading international
figure in first trimester ultrasound.

The 2 day program focuses on first trimester sonographic diagnosis of fetal malformation.
Over 1000 video clip sequences of fetal anomalies across all organ systems will be presented.
The interactive lecture series is directed at sonographers, radiologists and obstetrician
sonologists at all levels of training.

The 2 day program addresses basic to advanced B-Mode, 3D and 4D ultrasound techniques
deployed in first trimester diagnosis. The program outlines future developments in first
trimester diagnosis and outlines the evolving concept of 'inversion of the pyramid of antenatal
care' including Doppler prediction of preeclampsia, non invasive prenatal diagnosis and
screening for preterm labour.
